LADWP Opens Recovery Center for Palisades Community
As Angelenos impacted by the devastating January wildfires that swept the Pacific Palisades now move to rebuild their communities, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s Unified Utilities Rebuild Operations Center (UUROC) is on the frontline assisting in the recovery efforts. UUROC, which opened in March, is a full-service center where customers and contractors can coordinate directly with participating utilities and city agencies on the rebuilding of homes and properties in the Palisades. Partner organizations include Building and Safety, Public Works, L.A. Sanitation and Environment, L.A. Department of Transportation, L.A. City Planning, SoCalGas and FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).
"The residents and business owners of Pacific Palisades are not just our customers. They are our neighbors, friends, family, and colleagues. As they face the tremendous task of rebuilding this vital community, LADWP is there to help them conveniently access information and resources."
John Vanacore, Electrical Services Manager and UUROC Incident Commander
Aside from our agency coordination, LADWP has Customer Service Representatives at UUROC to discuss immediate customer needs. These services include starting and stopping services, and account inquiries.
